Bluets Tickets – Royal Court Theatre

“Suppose I were to begin by saying that I had fallen in love with a colour.”

Bluets is a story of depression, desire, pleasure, and pain, and a person who holds a lifelong obsession with the colour blue. Communing with artists like Andy Warhol, Derek Jarman, Joni Mitchell and Billie Holiday, the colour blue is their constant companion as they attempt to navigate a path through the devastating pain of a life-changing heartbreak.

Bluets at the Royal Court Theatre is based on Maggie Nelson’s unique and electrifying book and is adapted by playwright Margaret Perry, and directed by Katie Mitchell.

Performed by Kayla Meikle, Emma D’Arcy, and Ben Whishaw.

Original development at Deutsches Schauspielhaus Hamburg.

The Royal Court Theatre is a small off-West End venue located on Sloane Square with a capacity of 389 seats and has three levels compromising of the larger Jerwood Theatre Downstairs and the slightly more intimate Jerwood Theatre Upstairs. There is flexible seating to suit each production however, as it is a small venue, there are generally very good views of the stage throughout the auditorium.

The best seats are in the Stalls which have a decent rake and offer great views of the stage, although the intimate auditorium allows for close-up views wherever you are sat. The Circle is also a great place to sit for a clear overall view of the stage from an elevated position.

Patrons on a budget or just looking to book cheap tickets to Bluets can find good value either in the Balcony on the second floor, or the Slips in the Circle where tickets are moderately priced and offer a clear view of the stage.
