Summer is finished. Year 11 is finally here. Being a grown-up is cool. Being a kid is out. The main focus this year is on more responsibility, some serious hard partying, and, oh yeah… parenting a robot plastic baby simulator.
Following a sharp rise in pregnancies from the year above, the sex education department in the school feels compelled to take action. Fuelled by a blistering pop-rock score, The Other Palace presents Babies, which follows the fortunes of nine classmates as they embark on their most important school project yet: attempting to keep a fake baby alive for an entire week. As teenage pressures collide with the demands of parenting, the students are forced to ask themselves: who is it I want to be? what is it I want?
