Casting Announced For 'Heathers' Ahead Of West End Return

Casting has now been revealed for Heathers the Musical, which will return to the West End at @sohoplace for a limited run later this month.

Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy's entertaining musical about high school cliques previously showcased in London back in 2021.

The show will star Jenna Innes, who returns in the role of Veronica Sawyer who will be joined by Keelan McAuley as JD.

The titular Heathers will feature Esme Bowdler as Heather Chandler, Daisy Twells as Heather McNamara, and Sedona Sky, who makes her professional debut in the production as Heather Duke.

The rest of the cast will feature Amy Miles, who also makes her professional debut in the show as Martha Dunnstock, Lucy Sinclair as Ms. Fleming/Veronica’s Mom, Iván Fernández González as Kurt Kelly, Alexander Service as Kurt’s Dad/Big-Bud/Principal, Conor McFarlane as Ram’s Dad/Veronica’s Dad/Coach, Ben Fenwick as Beleaguered Geek, Madeleine Hargrave as Midwestern Surfer Punk, Lewis Asquith as Hipster Dork, Jason Battersby as Ram Sweney, Eliza Bowden as New Wave Party Girl, May Tether as Drama Club Drama Queen, Jasmine Cole as Young Republicanette, Kelly Sweeney as Stoner Chick, and Bradly Doko as Preppy Stud.

Heathers the Musical will be directed by Andy Fickman, with lighting by Ben Cracknell, choreography by associate director Gary Lloyd, sound by Dan Samson, and designs by David Shields and is based on the 1989 cult movie of the same name, starring Christian Slater and Winona Ryder.  The plot follows the fortunes of high school “nobody” Veronica Sawyer, who dreams of being popular. It seems her wish is granted when she’s accepted into the ‘Heathers’ clique at the school but, as she must behave in a certain way to fit in with the crowd, can Veronica keep true to herself?
